Camryn's Ballet Recital

Camryn always said she wanted to dance. She wanted to be like a ballerina. It was fun to give her a chance to try it out! It was a new experience for her - and for us! From the classes every week, to the outfits, to the hair-do's, the big rehearsal, and then the final recital!

The recital was on a Sunday, with the big practice on Saturday. She finally got to wear her costume that she had been waiting so patiently to be able to wear, and we had our first try at creating a "ballet bun"!  It took a couple watches of a YouTube video for me to figure out how to get her hair just right - and although not perfect, it was pretty close!

Half of the family came to the rehearsal on Saturday, and half to the recital on Sunday, and it was held at the Zeeland East high school auditorium.

I was a backstage helper for her group, so I got to capture a few pictures from behind the scenes.
We were waiting in her little class line to go out on stage, and I kept wondering how Camryn would do once she was out there in front of everyone - but she did great!

Sunday was the actual recital day! Camryn was starting to get a little...tired. Lots of excitement and people and planning...
This was how she looked on the car ride over to the auditorium.

We ran into a friend of mine, who offered to take a picture on our way in - but Cam was still feeling a little sleepy.

She perked up backstage when she got to put on her tiara for the first time!!

We tried to get a few group pictures with Miss Zoey - their teacher, and these were the best we could get!

After we got to see all the family who came to watch (minus Papa and Gaga who left right after the performance was done)

What a fun experience for our little ballerina!

Our cul-de-sac has a basketball hoop that our neighbors have up, and the girls have started wanting to head out there and shoot hoops with daddy. :)

Taylor's Kindergarten Artwork :)

Taylor's first year officially in school went so well! She rocked Kindergarten! Mrs. Meyering did so much to make the year memorable for the students. She also kept a Facebook page updated with pictures throughout the year from class activities, and I grabbed a few of my favorites to put on the blog. :)

The last day of school, we had the girls take a couple pictures in the morning - and was amazed at how much they grew!

Comparison - September to June! I was so interested to look at how tall they are compared to the windows on the door!

Ryan would leave to take Taylor to school each morning, and then Cam and I would leave shortly after to head to Toddlerville.
Some mornings would look like this... sad face, grumpy...even tears sometimes. Just hard to get up and going.

But then other mornings it would be all sweet smiles and giggles from her. :-) This little one kept me on my toes every morning! :)
