Typically the first week of June we are celebrating school winding down, and summer break starting. This year, with not being IN school since March, it felt a lot different to have our "last day of school"!
We did a drive through parade at my school, where students got to drop off materials AND see us to wave goodbye for the summer. It was such a strange end to the school year.
Taylor and Camryn also had a drive through parade to see their teachers one last time before summer break.
The rest of June had a lot of typical summer activities - we made it out to the beach, had a weekend at Mem's house, and we even ate outdoors at Lolo's - social distanced from other tables, of course. :) One other exciting part about June was that we finally got to bring our little kittens home! Saving that fun for a post all its own, though. :)
Pretty new rubber bands on her braces (and look at those sun-kissed summer freckles!)
The gym re-opened for outdoor workouts, and I got to see Leslie!! :)
Sneak peek at baby kittens!
Camryn did have a happy/sad day with her friend Alli. She went with Alli for a day of fun at the beach, but miscommunication about sunscreen, and a full day out in the sun was fun during the day, but quickly we realized that she had gotten 2nd degree sunburn all over her back and shoulders. Poor kiddo. There were lots of blisters, and it took a good week for her to not feel any discomfort from it, but it healed and we learned our lesson (the hard way!) about the importance of sunscreen!!
One more thing to add - just to note how TALL Taylor is getting - the girl is almost the same height as me. :)
Kitty adoption up next!
