My photos are piling up from the past month and a half - it is time to make sure the blog gets caught up!
First, I just gotta say how EXCITED we are that it is finally spring (although some days are hot enough that it feels like we skipped straight to summer).
We survived our first neighborhood garage sale. When we moved in, we had already heard about this spring tradition. For two days, food vendors are brought in, the neighborhood becomes a one-way street, and you have to rope off your yard if you don't want people parking on it or walking all over it. It is a bit crazy. I got to walk around one evening after work with these guys. We even scored a few deals!
Another fun part of the neighborhood we live in now is that it is within walking distance of a farm with a lot of animals for the kids to see! Taylor and Camryn love looking to see if the baby goats are out. We stopped by to see them one evening. Kinda cute. :)
Another fun place, now within walking distance, is a nearby nature preserve - with a pond with a BUNCH of frogs. This will probably be frequented a lot during the summer.
Right now we are getting to enjoy the sun a bit more because of a new storm door that my dad and Uncle Scott installed for us. We love it!
Completely random picture... one night I was really tired, and laid down, falling asleep on Camryn's floor. Within about 15 minutes, the girls had created quite a pile of blankets and stuffed animals around me. :) (Can you see me? ;))
I spent a lot of time with these people...
...early morning workouts...
...and teaching with these people... (out for dinner one night together)
My birthday was last month, and an amazing classroom parent of mine put together this basket of goodies for me. It was so, so sweet!!
One evening last month, Taylor was drawing, and drew her first picture of our family to show me. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. (From left to right - Ryan, me, Camryn, & Taylor)
About a month ago, the Slagh family grew by two! Taylor and Cam have two new little cousins - Adam and Owen. They are adorable!
Proud uncle :)
And lastly - Taylor started toddler t-ball this month! It is the cutest thing!! Parents shadow the children, and there are no coaches. I was imagining more chaos, but it actually went really well.
It helps that Taylor's best buddy, Ty, is on the team, too!! They are adorable together.
Taylor loved batting and getting to run the bases.
She mostly played with the dirt when her team was in the outfield. :)
The little sisters (Addi and Cam) did pretty well watching the game, too!
I think I am finally caught up! Excited for it to be summer break (and to hopefully keep up with life better on here. :))
