Camryn turns SIX, loses her first tooth, and how we celebrated her ACTUAL birthday!

Our little Camryn is now SIX years old! She needs TWO hands to tell her age!

She continues to be animated. Full of fun. Loves all things babies, and princess, and pink and purple right now. She likes things that sparkle, and I would say that describes her spirit, too. :) Camryn continues to have Lambie and Taggie as her favorites. Those two lovies are staples for her. She can become overstimulated, and wants to retreat to hugs and time with just me, which I don't always mind. :) She loves to sing and dance, and is enjoying her first gymnastic classes this winter and spring! She also lost her FIRST tooth the night before her birthday! She is growing up before our eyes!

Here are the questions that I like to ask the girls each year on their birthday.

What do you want to be when you grow up?  veterinarian

Camryn is doing really well in school. She is reading at grade level, does well in math, and, as always, has really careful handwriting and coloring - both are very important in Kindergarten! Her teacher, Ms. Geerlings, has been really great for Camryn this year, and we are so thankful that she enjoys school!

Here are some snapshots of her actual birthday "day". She was born on Friday, April 13, and for the first time, her birthday fell on a Friday again this year. :) I had memories come back to me all day long while I was teaching, about what that day was like 6 years ago. :) There weren't really any signs that she was going to be born that day until 5:30pm! It was a pretty normal school day, but things got really interesting once we took that evening walk!

This year for her birthday, it was a school day, but she wanted a donut for a treat before school. :) We lit a candle and sang her happy birthday. :)

She also opened one present from Taylor. A Human Body Encylopedia. :) She was really excited about it!

She took cookies and goldfish for her birthday treat for her class, and got a crown at school to help celebrate her day.

After school, she had a few more presents to open from us (although she spent a good amount of time looking through her encyclopedia before she even opened any of them!).

Her dinner request was Panera Bread.

After, we went to Barnes and Noble so she could spend a gift card she got during her birthday party.
She picked a couple of great books!

For her birthday dessert, Camryn decided she really wanted to try cheesecake. We went to the Starbucks bakery in B&N, and she picked out a red velvet cheesecake to try.

Needless to say, both girls loved it. :)

It was a nice, more relaxed evening, just spending time together, and celebrating her special day. :)
Can't believe we have an EIGHT year-old and a SIX year old now! :)

Camryn's 6th Birthday Party

The day after we got back from Ft. Myers, we were in birthday preparation mode! We were going to have 25 people in our house to celebrate Camryn turning SIX! :)

She wanted a princess party, with sandwiches, cake, and LOTS of pink and purple! She got her wish! It was a fun party, and her last comment of the evening was, "that party was amazing". :) So fun to celebrate our little girl!!
