Three day weekend!

Last Friday, I didn't have school, and loved having an extra day with the girls!

Friday, the girls and I met our buddies, Ty, Addi, and Kristen at Deanna's Playhouse. Always SUCH a good time!! Ty and Taylor just go, go, go, and Addi and Cam just hung around with us. Between Ty and Tay, and Addi and Cam, our kids are only 21 days apart in age - makes it fun to hang out with someone else who also has a one year old and three year old!

Addi and Cam on the move - hard to get a picture of these two because they won't stand still for very long :)

Cam moving too fast for the phone camera :) (And yes, she found her favorite zebra toy that we also have at home - she was happy as a clam!)

Stole this one from Kristen's camera - love this girl!

Lots of time outside over the weekend

Static hair!

A little playdoh on Saturday (notice the Christmas tree? ;o))
Taylor is holding the hamburger and hot dog we made together

Random pic - this is Cam's "I'm being a stinker" face, as she was shredding up all the tissues from the kleenex box

Saturday was a gorgeous day, and this was the result of a 75 minute walk - both girls totally cashed out :)

Sunday we went to see the criterium - the bike race downtown - Taylor loved all the bikes

A trip to Peachwave was in order, too - yum!

1 year stats for little Cam :)

Oiy. That first year appointment is a bit of a doozie - after 5 shots and a finger prick, I think Camryn will not be so calm next time we walk into that office. ;) It does have to be mentioned that she had NO reaction to the finger prick - and even I think those suckers hurt! The worst part, according to Camryn, was getting the band-aid on. :-D

Camryn's 1 year stats...

Weight: 19lbs, 13oz (just below the 50th percentile)
Height: 28 1/4 inches (15th percentile - just a peanut!)
Head: 46.1cm (75th percentile - guess she is going to be little with a big brain ;o))

(Here is Taylor's one year stats for comparison - weight: 20 lbs 3.5 oz, height: 28.8in, head: 46cm)

Everything looked great, including her ears! Angie (one of our favorite NP's at our doctor's office) could still see the white spots in her inner ear, but no infection, and she said that she has very pretty little blue tubes. :o)  We are so thankful for those tubes and the seven consecutive weeks that Cam has been antibiotic-free!

Also, as we are moving away from bottles, I just have to say that it was WONDERFUL - after 140+ days of work this school year, that I FINALLY did not have to wash a single bottle when we got home after school/daycare. Now we just have to get her to drink more milk from a regular sippy and we will be good to go. :)

We LOVE our little CRAZY Cam! (Some picture below to prove it :o))

Always climbing and standing on something...

Also, giving big sister's potty a try ;o)

Lil sis, big sis moments I love :)

So happy our sweet little girl is healthy and happy!!

Special day....and we got to be OUTSIDE!

This year, I really wanted to spend time with my mom on her birthday. 2013 has been a doozy so far. We had an open afternoon that we planned to hang out, and even though we didn't really plan anything, it turned out to be a wonderful day! One reason it was so nice was because of the WEATHER! We actually saw sun, it was warm outside, and this lead to a couple of hours of relaxing backyard fun with the girls.

After a picnic lunch of strawberry spinach salads  - which just felt like summertime food - that we ate on the living room floor while Taylor played around us, we headed outside!

Big girl putting on her own shoes

The first thing we had to break out? A bubble machine that the girl's Uncle Jason bought the girls for a birthday gift! This was a big hit. (Although there was a LOT of spilled bubble solution as Taylor got excited about holding it and turning it on and off ;) We will probably be buying a lot of bubbles this summer).

Camryn got up from her nap after we were outside for a bit...and had her bottle in the sun

Holding onto mem's finger :o)

I taught Mem some drawing tips from a new curriculum I use in my classroom this year :) We drew dogs and a mouse :)

Taylor spelling her name for me

Hopscotch

"Hit the ball!"

Pretty girls hanging out - we quickly found out that Camryn is NOT a fan of grass yet...she didn't venture off the blanket :)

We had popcorn for a snack - which is one of Taylor's favorite snacks, and we found out that Camryn is a fan, too!

After a dinner out, we hit up a new frozen yogurt place, Peachwave, and it was VERY tasty

It was a really good day together! :o)
