MORE Halloween Fun!!

Halloween falls on a Sunday this year, but most towns celebrate on Saturday instead, and so, for a third day in a row, Taylor got to dress up in her Halloween costume!

We first made a stop by "Big Cheese" to visit Ryan's brother, Jason, as he was working all evening.

Then we made a stop to see Sarah, Scott, and, of course, Brady!! (I couldn't wait to get a picture of these two together in their costumes... :-)) Taylor was very intrigued by Brady's costume, and wasn't too interested in the camera. :-)

"I want that banana!"

Even though Taylor can't quite crawl yet - she wanted to show Brady her climbing skills... :-)

Moms and babies :-)

And our last stop of the evening was to Grandma and Grandpa Slagh's house!

Uncle Jon was convinced that he could get Taylor to crawl...seemed close, but still hasn't happened yet! :-)

Treats for Taylor from Grandma and Grandpa Slagh!! :-) Perfect for a first Halloween!

Trick or Treat!

A Halloween visit...

On Friday, we packed up our little duck, and headed to Battle Creek!

Our first stop was to Humanergy to visit Grandma mem at work! We got to show off Taylor as a little duck...it was a big hit! :-)

Helping Grandma mem at work

Next stop - Grandma mem and Grandpa Randy's house. It was a fun afternoon of playing, napping, eating, and picture taking.

We enlisted Grandpa Randy's help with getting a nice family picture for our Christmas cards this winter. I LOVE my parents backyard - it is so pretty and quiet.

Here is one picture we took in front of my Grandpa Bob's tree. (My grandpa passed away in 1998, and we planted this little evergreen in his memory - it is now quite a large tree and a wonderful part of the backyard scenery).

There was also lots of playing time on the floor - with lots of encouragement to try to get Taylor to crawl - she is VERY close to being able to do it!

Taylor was quite fascinated with my parent's cat, Speedo, and wanted quite badly for Speedo to come closer so she could "pet" him.
Speedo sneaking up behind Taylor....

I love Taylor's expression in this picture - eyes wide with excitement and anticipation! (Notice Speedo in the corner of the picture)

Showing off her standing skills...

And her little duck behind...

Trick or Treat!

Pumpkinpalooza

The Thursday before Halloween, we went to our church's Halloween party - the Pumpkinpalooza! It was fun to see the costumes, eat food, and visit with friends. In the coming years, Taylor will have more fun when she is a little older and can actually play some of the games! It was a fun first outing with Taylor dressed up in her costume - our little duck! :-D

Photobooth!

Taylor with her friend, Beckham, from nursery...she was too interested in his mane to look at the camera :-D

A "Wind Day"

Yesterday was a first for me in my teaching (and school) career. School was canceled, not because of snow, ice or fog, but because of wind! I guess to be more accurate it was canceled because of the tornado watch that was issued, and following school policy, we had a "wind day" and school was canceled! :-D

It was already a short week because of conferences, but I will always be excited when I have a chance to get to spend a day with this little girl!

Playing in the leaves (although the winds were so strong that she wasn't interested in smiling at the camera, and just kept watching everything blowing around!)

She's getting stronger!

Look how high up I am!

Also - we are taking advantage of the remaining nice, fall days before winter arrives by taking lots of walks. Yay for beautiful fall weather!
