Easter pictures are loaded and ready to share, but in an effort to catch up, I want to remember a few things from Spring Break and the beginning of the month!
First, these pictures were taken in the beginning of April. Something is not right with this picture. Snow. There was still snow on the ground. Ugh. But slowly it was finally melting enough so we could see our grass!
We didn't go anywhere over my Spring Break. It was a 'staycation'. And the sun actually came out a few times, which was nice! The girls went to daycare one day, and I worked, but other than that, we just hung out and played, and got ready for Camryn's birthday the second weekend of the break.
We finally made it out to the nearby playground for the FIRST time this year. The snow did not completely melt in our yard until April 6. The playground seemed to take forever to melt and dry out, too!
Taylor was super excited about her new gym shorts, and while it was overcast and chilly, she kept claiming that she wasn't cold.
So here is how Taylor looked...
And here is how Camryn felt. :)
But it was still fun to be outside and run around!
The girls had their first sleepover at Mem's house during the week. They each had their little overnight bag that they helped me pack. A trip to the library, a visit to a cute local toy store, outside play time, yummy homemade food - they had quite a fun night/day with Mem!
Someone was being cozy with her toys at Mem's house...
We went to the book store together while we visited in BC. We did a lot of reading over break. Pigeon, and Elephant & Piggie books are becoming a new favorite of the girls. I just love the author Mo Willems.
This is how Taylor looked 15 minutes into our drive back to Zeeland. Someone had lots of fun and was tired out. :)
Ryan took a couple of days off at the end of the week, and we drove down to BC together to hang out for a day, and then Friday we just spent time together around the house.
Sometimes staying at home can be a pretty nice way to go!
