Weekend Snapshots

~ A couple of snapshots from our past couple of weekends ~

Playdoh! Ever since Taylor opened her birthday gift from Ty - an ice cream playdoh set - we have been playing a lot of playdoh, and this is what our table ends up looking like...

"Like a baby"
Camryn will come up to me and want me to hold her and sing to her, and she will say, "like a baby". Both girls wanted to be held one of those times. :)

A sunny walk! We finally had sun (although it was still cold), and clear enough roads to go for a walk. However, this is how the girls choose to ride in the stroller - pretty much anyway but sitting down facing forward. :)

Baby Annie was over last weekend, and the girls got to hold her. :) Such a sweetie!!

At TipToes yesterday, the girls were checking out a couple of really cute fold up chairs - we are all ready for summer and to be able to sit outside on the deck! (And yes, they are wearing hats and fleece jackets, because on March 22 it was still in the 30's outside, and there were snow flurries outside.)

These were my dinner companions last night :)
Camryn, Taylor, and Danny

And while the boys were downstairs watching basketball and doing their baseball draft, the girls were upstairs watching Frozen. :)
Aunt Katie (with her fantastic number of pillows - you gotta do what you gotta do when you are 30wks along with twins! :)) and Camryn were getting snuggly together

Tanya and Taylor, too!

It was a fun way to end our Saturday night!
{{Hoping for more OUTDOOR pictures in the weeks to come. Bring on the warmer weather!!}}

Final (??) snow day pictures, random moments, and Tay's 4 year stats

I feel like I might jinx things by saying it, but I am HOPING we have seen our last snow day for this school year! 11 days is quite enough!

Taylor and I actually shared a stomach bug on Tuesday night over a week ago, so Wednesday we were both home, and then by the time we were feeling better on Thursday, we had another snow day!

Thursday morning started off with homemade baked donuts. :)

Taylor was happy (especially since her appetite was back :)).

And for lunch, the girls insisted that we have a picnic (I think they are desperate for warm weather and being outside!).

A blanket on the living room floor had to do!

Reading books and eating...two favorites!

Last Friday was the first day of the CrossFit Open. Even though I still have a LOT to learn and many movements that I can't do quite yet, I decided to sign up for this 5-week competition with a bunch of other people from my gym for fun! The girls and Ryan came to watch the first workout - it was FUN to have them there!!

This week was CRAZY with a 2-day kindergarten conference for me, followed by parent-teacher conferences both nights. This was a picture that Ryan texted to me during one of my longer evenings - daddy taking care of dinner for the little ladies!

On Friday, because of my conferences earlier in the week, I had the day off! Ryan took the day off, too, which was fun.  We had Taylor's 4-year well-child appointment. She is 41 inches tall (75th percentile), and 37.6 lbs (68th percentile). A pretty tall, lean girl at this point! Bottom line, everything looked great, and she did SO well for her 2 vaccinations (and we are happy that it is the last ones until she is 11 years old!).

After the doctor we headed to 8th street - it was so nice to be able to walk outside and have it be 40 degrees! The girls tried on some hats while mommy shopped. :)

Friday night, Tay was uncomfortable, restless, and had a low-grade fever (probably from the shots), so we did NOT sleep well. She was up at 5:30am with me when my alarm went off, so she was my companion on my (usually solo) Saturday morning grocery trip. Poor thing was just not feeling herself. :(

After we got back, Tay and I stayed home and had a low-key morning, while Ryan and Cam went out for breakfast together with his family. Someone got a Mickey Mouse pancake! Yum!

Maybe the next post will be about WARMER weather - we can only hope!!
