Christmas break officially started for me yesterday morning!
I had to wear my buddy the elf shirt, obviously. :) And my friend, Jose, was all festive on Friday, too!
The morning crew at the gym went out to breakfast afterward. Love it when someone else makes breakfast for me. :)
For lunch, Ryan and I went to go eat with the girls at school. They were pretty excited about it. It is always amazing to me how BUSY those school lunchrooms can be! Lol!
Saturday morning started with the 12 days of Christmas...CrossFit style. :)
Later in the day, the girls and I had planned to make cute little polar bear treats that we saw in a holiday cookie magazine we bought. It all seemed so simple. Until we got to the melted candy coating part. Oh my stars. Ha! It didn't turn out like the magazine, that's for sure! But it was fun to try! And...they did taste good! :)
The girls then went to Grandma and Grandpa Slagh's house to help decorate cookies over there. :)
Can't wait for more fun on Christmas break!!

Girl's Christmas Parties
Both girls had their school Christmas parties on Thursday afternoon before Christmas break. Luckily, I only had a half day of school on Thursday, and Ryan was able to take a half day, too, so we could both join the girls!
Lots of games, lots of little kid excitement, it was fun to get to be there for both Taylor and Camryn!
Before we left, Abby and Cam found each other - they are pretty cute together! :)

Later December
I have to start this post with a sunrise. The view I have walking into school, is simply amazing sometimes. :)
When Christmas is approaching, I usually start thinking about the new things the girls will be receiving, and what they may have grown out of, and that maybe could be donated or given to younger cousins. We also thought about organization to give the girls more space to play. We talked about moving Camryn's bed to the extra room downstairs (she sleeps in Taylor's bed - they are like two peas in a pod. :)) Before we could execute on that rearrangement, we needed to clean things up a bit.
Just a bit.... ;-) Here are the before pics...oh my.
And here are the after pictures! So much better!
Lambie got her own little Santa outfit this month - so cute. :)
Camryn went with me to do a little final Christmas shopping, and we stopped at Anna's House for a little lunch while we were out. :) She wanted to order the hot chocolate, and was slightly excited when it arrived at the table.
We made more cookies!
Taylor and Cam got their second Kiwi Crate box from Mem. They are really neat hands on activities for kids, the first one was all about the body, and this box had the theme of "arcade games", and they got to create a "claw" - it was really neat!
Love the crafts from school!
Hey there, cozy girl. :-)
Next to the Christmas tree is a cozy place to read! Love this!
