Ty and Taylor are quite the pair. :o) (Getting ready for a bike ride - they kept looking at each other and smiling and laughing - I have to credit/thank Kristen for the pictures, I was a bad mommy and forgot the camera!! :))
The forecast was sunny with ZERO percent chance of rain which was PERFECT for our play date today, and these two played, and played, and played! When it came time to go in for lunch, we had to carry both of them inside because they had no interest in leaving the pool. :o)
It is amazing how hard it is to get two toddlers to sit and smile at the same time, oh my!
Taylor cashed out for a good part of the afternoon after all the fun - a great way to spend a summer day!

Fountain fun
Sunday, we took Taylor to the water fountain park downtown. She loves water, but wasn't too sure about these fountains that randomly spray, so she mostly just spent time standing close enough to feel the spray. It was so nice out!!

Summertime breakfast
Relaxed summer mornings equal relaxing tasty breakfasts - together!
This morning, Taylor and I were preparing for the upcoming 4th of July holiday with a red, white and blue breakfast - whole wheat blueberry pancakes, fresh strawberries, and a shared banana. Y-u-m. I miss these mornings during the school year!
Hello, beautiful...
"Mama - my mouth is full of banana!"
Love
We <3 summer!

16 months old
Last week Taylor hit the 16 month mark - just a couple months away from a year and a half old.
Loves right now...
**The curls that are starting to come back after her significant hair cut a month ago...
**When Taylor grabs my hand and turns it over so she can hand me a book or a toy or a ball, wanting to make sure I am engaged and fully paying attention to her :o)
**Asking for and getting sweet hugs
**Snuggling up to read endless amounts of books
**Effortless nap and bedtime routines, I feel so thankful for a good sleeper!
**Meal times with lots of veggies and fruits - the more colorful the meal, the better!
**Watching how brave and strong she has become - getting up and down off couches, our bed, stairs, etc.
**The moments where Taylor is getting sleepy and will simply lay down on the floor wherever she is playing
**Her love for "dada"... the excitement when Ryan gets home from work is pure joy, and when Ryan is playing softball and he is up to bat, Taylor will say "hi dada, hi dada, hi dada" :)
**Taylor's increased ability to understand and communicate with us...she constantly points and says "wha-sat?"... I find myself frequently naming things for Taylor and no longer speaking to her as if she was a 'baby', but more like a big kid!
Taylor in one of her tired moments, laying on the floor, while her buddy Brady was over to play
Love our sweet, silly, sixteen month old girl!!

Splash, splash, splash!
Yesterday, Taylor and I headed to the Aquatic Center in the morning to hang out in the splash zone with Kristen and Ty!
The lifeguard turned on the fountains right before this picture...neither kiddo was interested in looking at the camera anymore :o)
Ty is Taylor's little buddy from daycare (they are only two and a half weeks apart), and Kristen and I teach right next door to each other!
I just had to post this picture of Kristen trying to hold the two kids while they were splashing like crazy...love it! :o)
It had been a while since I had taken Taylor, and this time she was much more interested in splashing around and wanting to be in the deeper water. Ty was moving and running the whole time, such a cute little guy! Taylor had her face in the water a few times, and never seemed to mind - crossing my fingers that she will love the water as much as I did when I was a little kid and will love swimming!!
It was a fun outing and play date!! So glad this summer is just beginning! :o)
