June 1st - Field Trip day!

On June 1st, BOTH girls had field trips scheduled!

I went with Taylor on the 2nd graders field trip to the Zeeland Rec pool, followed by a picnic to a newly renovated playground.

Ryan went with Camryn to Fredrik Meijer Gardens (and they made a stop at Krispy Kreme afterward because it was National Donut Day ;-)).

It was a fun day - that we wrapped up with a trip to Velo City Cycles to trade up and get Taylor a better fitting bike! She was so excited, and we can't WAIT for lots of bike riding this summer!

... the Hero workout "Murph" at my gym - third year in a row of completing this workout in remembrance of those who have served - 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 air squats, 1 mile run.

... bike rides

... cute final writing projects that started coming home with the girls - this one made me laugh out loud! It was a picture drawn to show later at night, so while Ryan and the girls were making s'mores, she drew me sleeping! :D

... Camryn lost her second tooth!

... and I had my final field trip with my kindergarten class at the Critter Barn. :)

The girls also had their first visit to a salon for a full haircut and style appointment. They each got a malibu treatment (to try to recover their hair from the chlorine over spring break), as well as a cute cut and style when they were done! They looked so cute!

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent most of the holiday weekend at Mem's house, again, this year! And while we enjoyed good food, games, sunshine and lots of water time, the most exciting part was the fact that Mem got a new little kitty that weekend!

 Blu :)

Blu is a Devon Rex, the same breed as Speedo, and was all kitten! He was playful, purred a lot, and got LOTS of attention over the weekend. :)

When we weren't playing or snuggling or napping with Blu, we just enjoyed time together!

Sunday was my birthday - fun birthday gifts!

We went to Food Dance for dinner on our way out of town. My salad was incredibly delicious! And we had carrot cake for dessert. :)

We can't wait to spend more time at the lake house, and with Blu, this summer!
