Parker Family Reunion

Through a lot of emails, a bunch of texts, and a lot of prayer, we were able to plan a gathering with the Parker side of my family - which had not happened in almost 7 years! I proposed a gathering for a fall meal, which turned into a reunion! Sickness kept my cousin Adam and his family from being able to travel up from Illinois, but we had everyone else gathered.

We met around lunchtime - ALL the food was had! It was delicious and we kept eating all throughout the afternoon. :)

My cousin, Aaron, designs jewelry as his profession, and I finally get to own one of his pieces! Love it! :)

My brother-in-law, Jason, came over to capture some group pictures. :)

Later in the afternoon, we carved some pumpkins as well. :)

It was such a wonderful day to gather together!

The next morning, we met at Freedom Village for breakfast (Camryn was feeling sick so she stayed home with Ryan - turns out she had strep throat!).
Looking a little sleepy...but me with Aaron and my Papa. :)

The group. :)

We are hoping that our gathering can happen, again soon!! :)

Halloween 2017

This Halloween, we had a little Princess Ariel (from Little Mermaid), and an angel. :)

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Slagh's for pumpkin carving the weekend before Halloween. All the cousins! :D

The Sunday before Halloween, we braved the wind, and sprinkles, and COLD to go to our church for their "Truck-or-Treat" event. There were lots of big trucks outside, with people from the community handing out candy. :)

On Halloween, I dressed up with my friends at the gym for our morning class. :) Captain America! With a sparkly tutu. LOL. :)

That afternoon, I had the opportunity to take the afternoon off, and see the costume parade at Taylor and Camryn's school.

Camryn's face when she saw that Mem had made a surprise visit up to watch the parade!

Halloween evening - it was cold, but the girls were VERY excited to go our trick-or-treating with their neighborhood friends!

Wrapping Up October - School pictures, sunrises, and skeletons

There is something about October sunrises that are absolutely stunning. This was the sunrise view when I got to school on morning. :)

We got back our school pictures at the end of the month - me included! :)

Camryn - Kindergarten

Taylor - 2nd grade

Me - 12th year of teaching!

A little funny comparison - this is my picture from 6 years earlier!

Camryn complained about tooth pain over one weekend, so I took her into the dentist. Luckily, she still keeps her streak of no cavities, but an x-ray showed that she's got some adult teeth that are making their way in! She's super excited about wiggly teeth!

Speaking of doctor visits, Cam also took a trip to Urgent Care with me to diagnose that she had strep throat. Poor kiddo!

October is Fire Safety month, and Camryn's teacher, Ms. Geerlings, posted some pictures of the fire fighters visiting their class. :)

One day after school - the girls created a plethora of pictures, and made a little collage of them to hang up. It was Taylor's idea, and so neat! I love seeing their creativity grow!

Mem was here for a visit one Friday! Love being in the kitchen with her. :)

Camryn and I made some skeleton hands - based on a lesson that I saw when I was at school. They turned out pretty fun!

Next up - Halloween!
