The day after Christmas, we woke up to breakfast at Mem's - which is always my favorite because she has ALL the delicious fruits, the table looks like a rainbow. :)
The tree!
Jeff's family arrived midday - and the cousins were very excited to be together and open presents!
Lots of fun with stockings, again. :)
And opening of gifts.
We draw names between the adults, and I pulled Grandma Betty's name this year. It was her 90th Christmas, and I just felt like I wanted to do something more meaningful. So, on our snow day earlier in the month, the girl's and I worked all day on a project to give Grandma Betty something to open each day for 30 days after Christmas. Taylor typed up jokes for each day, and we brainstormed fun things to include for those 30 days - we sang songs and put them on YouTube for her to listen to, the girls drew pictures, we wrapped little chocolates, cozy socks, tea, nice lotion, came up with trivia questions for her, and put it together in a little binder and box for her!
We were very excited for her to open it! :)
After presents, we ate yummy food.
And had lottery tickets! Taylor helped Grandma Betty scratch off her ticket. (Camryn even won $10!)
The rest of our visit was full of lots of activities...
Marshmallow creations
Sledding
Drinking hot chocolate (we had VERY cold air come through for Christmas)
Walking on the ice (that was actually a little melty actually, despite the really really cold temperatures!)
Playing with Christmas toys
Watching Christmas movies
And, of course, just being cozy... in new pj's. :)
It was such a great visit - went by too fast!
