Wrapping up Halloween :)

Halloween fell on a Monday this year - but I actually didn't have school!

I started out dressing up with friends at the gym this morning - bringing out Super Girl again from a couple years ago. :)

Camryn and I went to Taylor's costume parade at school - so many kids and costumes!

Mrs. Sizemore's first grade crew!

Found her sweet "All About Me" poster and drawing of herself hanging in the hallway when we were leaving. :)

After dinner, we met up with neighborhood friends - Ashley, Abby and Emma - to go trick-or-treating!

It was quite a crew...

So thankful for the neighborhood we live in, and good friends for the girls!

Fall hike at Mt. Pisgah

The nice weekend weather continued on Sunday, so the girls and I headed to Mt. Pisgah to hike the trails.

I found two "little bears" on the trails while we were walking. ;)

They were actually saying they were hungry bears and already wanted the snacks I packed.

Taylor was "as tall as a tree"

There is a part that loops off the main trail, and the girls had fun racing up the hill and down the sides.

But then Cam said, "Taylor, Mama is taking pictures of our booty right now" ...and then they both proceeded to stick out their buns at me. Silly kids. ;)

"Sefie time" meant giving me big squeezes - I can't complain! :)

Pretty cool to live at a place with views like this! 

Pumpkin Carving at Grandma and Grandpa Slagh's

Grandma and Grandpa invited all the cousins over for pumpkin carving and food on the Saturday night before Halloween.

The first thing all the kids wanted to do was jump in the leaf pile that Grandpa made (and had to keep remaking ;-)).

After dinner, we attempted to get all the cousins together for a picture with their costumes - and it turned out okay! :) We had Mario, Luigi, Rapunzel, a little butterfly, Little Bo Peep and her sheep :)

Then pumpkin carving!

It was a fun night!

Van Raalte Farm Trails and Treats

Camryn felt much better as the afternoon went on (although a little sleepy), and she was up for trick-or-treating at Van Raalte Farms in the evening!

It was a perfect evening - great temperature, the colors were starting to really show on the trees - it made it really nice to walk the trails! They have live animals brought in by the DeGraaf Nature Center, treats, a scavenger hunt to find hidden animals along the path, and crafts & games at the end of the trail.
