2 year old comparison :)

Camryn had her 2-year well child appointment this week. All is well, and ears look good, which we are always happy to hear. :)

Stats:
Weight 26lbs 14oz - 66th percentile
Height: 33 3/4 inches - 58th percentile

At 2 years old, Taylor weighed 26lbs 5 oz, and her height was 34 inches. They are pretty similar!

I love these pictures of Cam with little pigtails (her teachers at daycare will do her hair after naptime - so sweet). :)

And I found this picture of me in my dad's boat when I was little, and wondered if there was any resemblance?? She is certainly a LOT more blond than me! :D

Easter 2014

The Thursday before Easter, the Easter Bunny visited the girl's daycare.
Taylor apparently was very happy about the visit.

Camryn was not. :) Poor little tender heart.

Easter weekend was a bit of family, lots of playing, a great church service, bunches of sunshine, and some holiday fun, too.  :)

Saturday morning we took advantage of the beautiful sunshine to play outside.

On Saturday afternoon my dad and Uncle Scott came up and we had a visit with them and my grandparents. Bapa put together his gift for Camryn - although she was still napping when it all got put together, so Taylor enjoyed the gift a bit before her sister woke up. :) We did many laps around the living room with it before it made its way outside. :)

Later, we went to my grandparents for a combination birthday dinner for my grandma and Camryn, and an Easter get-together.

Singing Happy Birthday to Cam (the "83" is for Gaga - Cam's "2" candle was on the other side. :))

Hanging out with the big bunnies that were there...

Camryn was NOT a fan :) Easter bunnies were not her favorite this year.

Sunday morning, the girls had a lot of fun finding Easter Eggs hidden around the house. Next year we are going to have to assign colors so their baskets are a bit more equal. :)

Breakfast with bunny ears on :)

After church, our Easter dinner this year was just our family - and we grilled out! It was really tasty, and SO nice to be outside during our warmest day yet this year!

The rest of the day was equal parts napping/sitting in the sun, and playing.
(Getting ready for toddler t-ball this summer!)

We love spending time with these two!

Beginning of April and Spring Break!

Easter pictures are loaded and ready to share, but in an effort to catch up, I want to remember a few things from Spring Break and the beginning of the month!

First, these pictures were taken in the beginning of April. Something is not right with this picture. Snow. There was still snow on the ground.  Ugh. But slowly it was finally melting enough so we could see our grass!

We didn't go anywhere over my Spring Break. It was a 'staycation'. And the sun actually came out a few times, which was nice! The girls went to daycare one day, and I worked, but other than that, we just hung out and played, and got ready for Camryn's birthday the second weekend of the break.

We finally made it out to the nearby playground for the FIRST time this year. The snow did not completely melt in our yard until April 6. The playground seemed to take forever to melt and dry out, too!

Taylor was super excited about her new gym shorts, and while it was overcast and chilly, she kept claiming that she wasn't cold.
So here is how Taylor looked...

And here is how Camryn felt. :)

But it was still fun to be outside and run around!

The girls had their first sleepover at Mem's house during the week. They each had their little overnight bag that they helped me pack. A trip to the library, a visit to a cute local toy store, outside play time, yummy homemade food - they had quite a fun night/day with Mem!

Someone was being cozy with her toys at Mem's house...

We went to the book store together while we visited in BC. We did a lot of reading over break. Pigeon, and Elephant & Piggie books are becoming a new favorite of the girls. I just love the author Mo Willems.
This is how Taylor looked 15 minutes into our drive back to Zeeland. Someone had lots of fun and was tired out. :)

Ryan took a couple of days off at the end of the week, and we drove down to BC together to hang out for a day, and then Friday we just spent time together around the house.

Sometimes staying at home can be a pretty nice way to go!
