July pictures & Swim lessons

July was SO good!

We had some fun trips to BC and Charlevoix, but in between the out of town adventures, we had a relaxing month just hanging out at home.

I ended up signing up the girls for 4 weeks of swim lessons through the rec center, and it was such a good investment for them! They were able to be in the same preschool lesson group, which was really nice. Each morning of lessons, we could be a little relaxed at the start of the morning, but then headed out for their 9:30 lesson. A half hour in the water, and then we were done!

 For almost all lessons, parents weren't allowed on deck, so I would sit in the balcony by the other pool and watch through the window. :) This was my view. :)

A lot of times we would head straight from the lessons to the splash pad just down the street, which the girls loved.

 It was especially fun when friends could come hang out with us, like Ty and Addi. :)

Like visited the beach

Went to the park

Watched Ry play softball

Had cousin play dates

Taylor got invited to a birthday party that was My Little Pony themed - she loved it

Had cousins and friends over for a fire and dinner outside

Went for bike rides

Ate ice cream treats in pajamas

Picked blueberries

Played games

Cam loves getting dressed up in summery dresses - the girls at church one morning....Taylor likes being more comfortable, and showing her dislike of pictures sometimes :) 

Played with sidewalk chalk

(That also included a little learning)

Speaking of learning, the girls also worked on some school things, too :) Getting Taylor ready for the big school year ahead!

And I did a couple random things over the month that were school related, like cleaning out closets and drawers (I love a good purge :))

I love that during the summer we also have time to do things like make pizzas for lunch :)

And eating LOTS of summer fruit - love the rainbow of colors :)

Fuzzy Peach is also a summer time favorite. :)

This girl loves hanging out with me while I get ready in the morning - LOVE relaxed summer mornings! Especially since it means I get to spend the whole day with this sweet little face :)

In July we also took the girls to see the movie 'Inside Out' - it was Taylor's second time in a movie theater, but Cam's first time seeing a movie on the big screen! They both really liked the movie :)

Taylor loves drawing characters from the movie (that's Joy and Sadness in her picture). :) She's looking like a kindergartener more and more every day. :)

July was a great month - and that was just a snapshot of the fun we had. :) More pictures to come!
