A little peek into our week - Spring Break!!

One more day off, and then it is back to the classroom!

The break started off a little rough - the stomach flu ran its course with everyone in our house, but by Tuesday night things were mostly back to normal, and we were ready for fun!

Highlights of Spring Break - butterflies, sunshine, girl's day with grandma mem, walks outside, lazy mornings, swimming, lots of toddling around the house, a few good hours of organizing, cleaning and purging the house ("spring cleaning"!), and lots and lots of playing, reading, giggling and silliness with our sweet little lady... :o)

A few random pictures of our week - I didn't take out the camera nearly enough!

(*I happened to have the camera around a lot during meal time it seems!)
Happy to be eating breakfast with mommy!

Green smoothie mustache :o)

Little swimmer...

This morning, Taylor and I went to the Aquatic Center to have some fun in the splash zone. She mostly just loved sitting and watching the other little kids, the fountains, and her favorite thing was the big buckets that dumped water periodically.  She loves her baths, and being in the pool was no different!

Getting ready to swim, showing off one of her new suits for this summer...

Just a few pictures (the best I could do with navigating around lots of splishing and splashing with a camera in hand! :o))

I can't wait for this summer and all the fun we are going to have at the big lake!!

Pigtails!

With a little help from my friend at church who is a stylist, we got Taylor's hair into her first pigtails this morning!! (Thanks, Elsie!!)

So, of course, we had to take just a few pictures... :o)

Beautiful day for butterflies!

Spring break week is here! And it actually feels like spring today - hooray!

My mom and I talked about planning a visit to the butterfly exhibit in GR, and this seemed like the perfect day to go! Ryan, Taylor and I met Grandma Mem, Grandpa Randy, Great-Grandma Betty, and Great Uncle Drake at the exhibit.

No one in our group had been to the exhibit before, and we were really impressed! The butterflies were beautiful, and we were told they were quite active today. Taylor kept saying, "oooh", and making little noises as we walked through - very curious about all of the brightly coloring, little fluttering bugs. They keep it quite warm for the butterflies, and as we were walking around Ryan made the comment that it reminded of him of summer - and made both of us wish that warmer weather would get here fast!

Earlier in the week, Taylor and I went to Carter's to get some new spring clothes, and found a CUTE little butterfly hoodie - so of course she had to wear it for our excursion!

We took a few pics of our little girl before we left - she is starting to look so much more grown-up to us!

Doing what she does best - reading books :o)

The group, minus mem, who was taking the picture!

It was a FUN day!!
