When I heard that Camryn's first field trip this year was going to be in October to an apple orchard, I couldn't wait to join her and help chaperone!
We have never been to Robinette's, which is a bit further in Grand Rapids, but it was a beautiful orchard, with lots of fun things for the kids to see and do.
The chaperones drove separate, so when her class bus arrived, it was fun to get to meet her up there - although she said that the bus ride seemed kind of long. :)
We got to go on a wagon ride to see the orchard.
Went through a corn maze with funny little signs throughout that had "corn-undrums" for the kids to figure out.
The kids got to see how apple cider is made. Camryn helped put an apple into the apple press.
Part of the tour took us into a huge refrigerator with thousands of apples
I think the kids favorite part was the apple cider and donuts at the end, though. :)
Her class ate lunch at the orchard, played a bit, and then they headed back to school.
It was so fun to get to spend the extra time with Camryn, to go on her first field trip, and get to meet some of her kindergarten friends!
