Neither Ryan or myself had work on Friday (school was off for a winter break, and Ry took a little winter break, too :-)), and we decided to head up north to the cottage! It was a fun weekend! We had great weather - a few flurries on the drive up, new snowfall Friday night, sun and blue skies on Saturday, and surprisingly warm weather today! Taylor did really well on both the drive up and back, and slept well (well, she slept really good the second night, the first night she was mostly snoozing in bed with Ryan and I :-)). We played outside in the snow, ate good food, saw a couple movies, and had fun watching Taylor explore the cottage now that she is mobile. It was fun to think about what it will be like this summer with Taylor toddling around on the beach, playing in the lake, swinging in the hammock - the warm weather today makes me want summer to be here soon! We did have one hang up when we arrived with no water because of a frozen water pipe (it had been 6 degrees in the morning!!), but luckily my parents arrived soon after with heat lamps and we were good to go!
