The SNOW WEEK without school

Never in my career as a teacher have we had a full week called off from school, but from January 28-February 1, every day was called off because of snow or frigid temperatures, with windchills down to 25 below zero at the coldest point during the week! I did LOTS of snow blowing the driveway, we did some sledding (before it got too cold to even go outside), did lots of organizing in the house, and plenty of just downtime! :)

Sledding and hot chocolate

Night sledding with neighborhood friends

Lots of following Twitter to see what the thoughts would be for school the next day...

Big Breakfasts at home...that made quite the mess...

And, breakfast at Big Apple Bagel

Lunch is served :)

Lots of slime making

Surviving snow blowing... kind of :)

Thankful for a neighbors help!!

More snow

Picture making

Dinner out at Chik-fil-A with Tay while Cam had ballet

We thought that Hamilton might have school on the Friday of that week, but Zeeland called off the night before, so Tay and Cam were going to come to be my helpers. Camryn was SO excited to come to school with me!

She picked out just the right clothes, and laid them out that night. I ended up having a snow day as well, but I told them they could come help me another time!

I tried to make breakfast fun that morning by making shape pancakes. I need a little practice for sure! LOL!

We got out of the house a bit, though, and headed to Barnes and Nobles for some new journals. :)

The sunset on that Friday was beautiful...a seemingly end to the week long snow and cold event. :)
